Sewing is a newer project for me. I started hand-mending some of my clothing back in 2020, but it wasn't until late 2022 that I finally bought a sewing machine. I'm still very much exploring, and I have visions of someday making most of my wardrobe, bags, outerwear, you name it. But right now I'm on t-shirts.

(I know most of these pictures are terrible. A project for another day.)

T-shirt attempts

A serger would make these easier, but working with a twin needle in the meantime.

Practice bags

My first real sewing project. Copying bags I've seen online.

Sashiko-style mending

I've always liked the look of and the implicit stories behind sashiko mending. Mine isn't exactly an authentic approach, but it's a fun way to extend the life of old clothes.

Other mending and practice projects

Using most of my wardrobe to test out techniques. Patching elbows, hemming pants, altering shirts, more.
